What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cable Assembler position at John Galt Staffing?
This role will be primarily cable harness builders. Must haves are: can read schematics, blueprints and other written directions, have cable harness building experience ideally 2-3 years of related experience
Essential Job Duties:
- Perform a wide variety of electronic and electromechanical subassembly and assembly operations to build up and assemble units of moderate complexity such as printed circuit boards, modules, chassis drawers, cable harnesses and other electronic assemblies
- Following established methods and procedures builds flexible cable assemblies; makes bulk cables, cuts and strips wires, crimps, cleaning operations, marking operations
- Work from production/assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, verbal instructions, and notes to assemble, wire and install a wide variety of components
- Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers crimpers, wenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
- May operate semiautomatic assembly equipment as well as basic electronic test equipment
- Hand soldering and de-soldering of thru-hole, and SMT components
- Handle all electronic components within the guidelines of ESD
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- HS Diploma
- 2 -3 years experience in electrical assembly
