What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bussers/Food Runners position at Joe's KC BBQ?
Food Runners:
The Food Runner is responsible for carrying entrees, bags or boxes of prepared food to customers who are waiting at restaurant tables. They are also required to smile, demonstrate positivity, answer guest questions, respond to guest needs, maintain the dining room, parking lot clean and stock / restock their station. The food runner must also keep the entryway door glass and mats clean. If time permits, they must also regularly check and maintain restrooms.
Food Runner Duties /Responsibilities
- Perform opening, midday, and closing duties as required.
- Carry prepared entrees, bags and boxes of food to customers who are waiting at restaurant tables.
- Sweep/vacuum entryway floors as needed throughout entire shift.
- Clean entryway door glass throughout entire shift
- Restock supplies.
- Assist customers by answering questions and providing directions.
- Empty trash stations as needed, recovering thrown away silverware, plastic plate, and trays from trash.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Bus Persons
A Bus Person is responsible for bussing tables in the restaurant, keeping the dining room and restrooms areas clean and well stocked, and assisting with servicing customers, as necessary.
Bus Person Duties /Responsibilities
- Perform opening, mid-day, and closing duties as required.
- Clear all dirty dishes, napkins, and leftover food items from table after patrons have finished their meal.
- Fill and clean all sauce bottles as needed, insuring labels are not worn or peeling.
- Sweep/vacuum floors as needed throughout entire shift.
- Maintain soda station, cleaning all spills and overflows, and stocking all necessary items.
- Polishing and maintaining stock of silverware
- Assist customers with booster seats and hi-chairs, answer questions and give directions to restrooms.
- Clean and sanitize tables, table caddies, and floor, as necessary.
- Stock assigned stations with all necessary condiments and paper products.
- Brew and replenish tea and coffee stations.
- Empty trash stations as needed, recovering thrown away silverware, plastic plate, and trays from trash.
- Change sanitizer buckets and bus towels as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 32 per week
