Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Yellow Ribbon events, workshops, and outreach initiatives
- Manage end-to-end event logistics including scheduling, venue coordination, vendor management, and on-site execution
- Serve as a point of contact for participants, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure all events are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with program objectives
- Track attendance, collect feedback, and support reporting requirements
- Maintain compliance with government protocols, access requirements, and operational standards
- Provide administrative and coordination support for program activities as needed
- Must possess (or have previously possessed) a valid Common Access Card (CAC) and be eligible for access to government systems and facilities
- Proven event planning or coordination experience (military or civilian)
- Must be located in or near Chicago, IL
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
- Background in the military, particularly experience related to the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program
- OR experience in hospitality, event management, or customer-facing roles
- Associate’s degree, technical certification, or higher (Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required)
- Experience working with government programs, military populations, or community outreach initiatives
- Early-career professional (typically 2–6 years of experience)
- Detail-oriented and proactive with a “make it happen” mindset
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Passionate about supporting Service Members, Veterans, and their families
- Strong logistical thinker with hospitality-level service standards
