- Workday APIs (REST & SOAP)
- XML, XSLT, JSON
- Web Services (SOAP, REST)
- Data transformation & mapping
- File-based integrations (SFTP, PGP encryption)
- Error handling, retries, and reconciliation
- Workday security framework
- Integration System Users (ISU)
- OAuth / API authentication
- Data privacy & compliance awareness (PII, SOX, GDPR basics)
- Java (especially for Workday Studio)
- Object-oriented programming concepts
- Version control (Git, Bitbucket)
- CI/CD concepts (nice to have)
- Logging, monitoring, and debugging
- HCM (Workers, Organizations, Job Profiles)
- Payroll (US payroll strongly preferred)
- Benefits administration
- Financials (for FIN integrations)
