Position Overview

We are seeking a Journeyman UAT Specialist to join an enterprise testing team, supporting the implementation of a large-scale access system. This is a great opportunity to grow in a complex enterprise environment. The incumbent will utilize testing tools and methodologies, along with data and scenarios provided, to perform various testing tasks — including building and maintaining test plans, test suites, and end-to-end business process workflows — ensuring the system meets business requirements.

Work schedule: 4 days per week onsite, 1 day telework.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in conveying technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty.
• Identify improvements to project standards to achieve high quality services and products.
• Coordinate with the application development team on programming activities as needed.
• Confer with business and technical personnel to resolve problems of intent, inaccuracy, or feasibility of computer processing and project design.
• Work with necessary personnel to determine if modifications or enhancements are required.
• Leverage excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop new business process and programming solutions as directed by stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities of application developers as needed.
• Identify best practices and standards for the use of the product.
• Apply proven hands-on technical design and code work within large, complex systems.
• Demonstrate hands-on technical work with a variety of technologies.
• Integrate diverse technical environments and cross-platform technologies.
• Deliver support and design for industry-specific applications requiring integration with statewide systems.
• Interact with executive-level business users and technical experts.
• Apply advanced experience in the required technical subject matter.
• Function as a niche technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) as required.
• Apply experience across large and complex implementations and systems.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 4 years of proven hands-on UAT testing experience utilizing various testing techniques, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Selenium, QC ALM, SQL)
• 4 years of experience building and maintaining test plans, test suites, writing and executing end-to-end test cases, and managing defects
• 4 years of UAT experience writing test scripts aligned to end-to-end business processes to support non-technical Business SMEs
• 4 years of hands-on experience with HP JIRA including requirements-to-test-cases traceability, execution, defect tracking, and reporting
• 6 years of experience conveying technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty
• 6 years of experience preparing complex technical documentation
• Bachelor''s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience
