Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern Software Engineer. In this role, you will:
Create PC software that controls test equipment and analyzes data to automate acceptance testing of deliverable assemblies
Port legacy embedded system software to a new embedded processor platform.
Basic Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in: Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
Proficient with C programming language
Familiar with MATLAB
Desired Skills
Basic knowledge of embedded processors
Some familiarity with electronics test equipment (multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, etc.)
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team (Software/Electrical/Mechanical Engineers, Analysts)

Work Schedule Information

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $31,616 - $77,788. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
