Key Responsibilities:
- Operate proactively, anticipating risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges before they surface as issues
- Serve as a coach at all levels - coaching teams on execution and flow, and coaching leaders and managers on Agile mindset, decision-making, and trade-offs
- Prepare and coach teams for PI Planning, Pre-PI Planning, and In-Quarter Execution
- Drive readiness across backlogs, dependencies, risks, and capacity
- Actively support ART-level ceremonies (ART Sync, SoS, PO Sync as applicable)
- Identify, track, and proactively manage inter-team and cross-ART dependencies
- Facilitate dependency resolution across Product, UX, Architecture, and Engineering
- Maintain clear visibility into program-level risks and impediments
- Escalate issues with clear options, trade-offs, and impact analysis
- Design, create, and maintain Jira dashboards, filters, and reports for teams and leadership
- Configure and optimize workflows, boards, and issue hierarchies to support flow
- Ensure data integrity to enable accurate metrics and executive reporting
- Translate Jira data into actionable insights
- Coach teams on Agile and Lean principles, focusing on flow, predictability, and quality
- Facilitate retrospectives that result in traceable measurable improvements
- Mentor less-experienced Scrum Masters and contribute to communities of practice
- Use data and observation to guide improvements, not dogma
- Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering Managers
- Communicate clearly with leadership on progress, risks, and confidence
- Balance delivery commitments with sustainable pace and quality
- Preferred: SAFe certification (SSM, SASM, RTE, SPC) or equivalent experience
- 8 years experience as a Scrum Master in complex, enterprise environments
- Demonstrated success working in Scaled Agile frameworks
- Strong expertise in inter-team dependency management and cross-team coordination
- Advanced Jira expertise (dashboards, JQL, workflows, reporting)
- Proven ability to prepare teams for PI Planning and program-level execution
- Deep understanding of Agile metrics (flow, predictability, WIP, throughput)
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills
- Experience supporting multiple teams or an ART
