Description
SAIC has an opening for a Mission Data Analyst Engineering Intern who is willing to gain knowledge of government and SAIC Launch Management processes to assist the Launch Management Division. This position is in El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA. The selected candidate will augment the SAIC team to organize technical mission data, codify processes for AI tool usage and develop reports and other products to help enable development of Mission Manager training tool system. In doing so, the candidate will be exposed to and learn key aspects of the government launch mission management that leads to a successful launch.
Specific duties include:
Collect and organize mission specific launch data to develop the trends from a single mission that can then be applied to all the missions supported by the SAIC contracts
Assist AI tool developers in creating use cases based on the mission data to create training tools for both government and contractors
Understand the data management systems where mission data resides and codify processes for maintaining those data systems
Develop insight into mission data that shows the evolution of requirements from Leading Edge Integration, to Trailblazers, and finally to launch support for a true life cycle analysis
Provide day-to-day support to the Launch Management Division and the data management teams for questions in the use case development
Convey technical information in a clear and articulate manner to government and SAIC leadership
Support strategic planning and gain knowledge of end-to-end launch support activities
Travel: 10% of the time
Qualifications
Seeking bachelor's degree in STEM, preferred second or third-year student
Has or ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly
Understanding of handling sensitive information with discretion
Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Excel, WORD, Power BI)
Additional Qualifications:
Working knowledge of launch vehicle systems
Experience with Collaboration tools (Confluence, JIRA, MS TEAMS)
Strong communication and coordination skills necessary
Experience in developing AI use cases for tool development
Knowledge of Data Management systems (Livelink)
Desktop software experience to include spreadsheet, briefing, and database development and reporting
