Description
- SAIC has an opening for a Mission Assurance Engineering Intern who is willing to gain knowledge of government and SAIC mission assurance processes to assist the Mission Assurance Team. This position is in Chantilly, VA. The selected candidate will augment the SAIC team to organize data, codify processes and develop reports and other products to help enable the work of a multi-discipline team of technical experts in avionics, propulsion, structures and mechanical systems. In doing so, the candidate will be exposed to and learn key aspects of the government independent launch vehicle mission assurance process.
- Collect and organize launch vehicle (LV) hardware mission assurance data from various sources and provide reports to technical team providing government independent risk assessments.
- Support Mission Assurance Team internal meetings to gain insight into priorities and assist is providing team products.
- Monitor and assess fleet wide issues affecting mission assurance.
- Provide status reports for completion of mission-specific LV hardware reviews for on-going mission campaigns.
- Provide day-to-day support to the organization to assure routine actions and briefings are addressed.
- Convey technical information in a clear and articulate manner to government and SAIC leadership.
- Support strategic planning and gain knowledge of end-to-end launch support activities.
- Travel: 10% of the time.
- Seeking bachelor's degree in STEM.
- Must have complete 2-3 years college.
- Has or ability to obtain TS/SCI with CI Poly.
- Understanding of handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Excel, WORD, Power BI).
- Working knowledge of launch vehicle systems.
- Experience with Collaboration tools (Confluence, JIRA, MS TEAMS).
- Strong communication and coordination skills necessary.
- Desktop software experience to include spreadsheet, briefing, and database development and reporting.
