This is a field support role ideal for independent contractors who are responsive, customer-focused, and experienced in desktop and basic network troubleshooting.

Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite IT support for enterprise clients on an on-demand basis. This is a field support role ideal for independent contractors who are responsive, customer-focused, and experienced in desktop and basic network troubleshooting.
Assignments will be provided as support requests arise. Engineers must be available to travel to client locations and provide hands-on technical assistance.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite desktop and IT support for end users at client locations
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise applications
- Support LAN/network connectivity troubleshooting
- Perform hardware replacement, upgrades, and device installations
- Use console access for basic network troubleshooting when required
- Document service activities and provide updates to the Service Delivery Team
- Follow client IT policies, procedures, and security guidelines
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and replacement
- Basic networking knowledge including LAN, switches, and routers
- Ability to troubleshoot printers and peripheral devices
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in onsite environments
Engineers must carry:
- Windows laptop
- LAN cable
- Console cable
- Screwdriver toolkit
- Basic IT troubleshooting tools
- On-demand / field support role
- Assignments shared by the Service Delivery Team
- Engineers contacted via phone or email for support requests
- Site details, reporting time, and SPOC information shared before each assignment
- No guaranteed working hours
- Independent Contractor (1099)
- No employee benefits included

- Experience supporting enterprise environments
