Job Title: Financial Reporting Manager

Location: Kansas City, Missouri (On-Site)

Job Summary: We seek an experienced accounting professional to lead a financial reporting team responsible for accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements and analysis of financial results. Our team values process improvement and technical expertise to ensure compliance, deliver audit-ready financials, and support business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a financial reporting team, overseeing journal entries, reconciliations, and overhead analyses to support timely general ledger close and accurate reporting.
• Review financial statements, evaluate disclosure requirements, and coordinate deliverables for year-end financial statement audits, ensuring audit deadlines are met.
• Research, develop, and implement accounting procedures and process improvements in line with GAAP, providing technical guidance as needed across the organization.
• Lead staff development through training, coaching, performance reviews, and participation in recruitment and hiring to ensure strong team performance and service delivery.
  
  

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience, including significant experience and technical skills in financial reporting.
• Demonstrated ability in researching complex accounting issues and experience with auditing or serving as a key audit contact.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
