Job Description:

Position Summary

The Fabricator A performs a variety of fabrication, machining, and assembly operations to produce precision components and assemblies. This role requires the ability to work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications while ensuring conformance to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate fabrication and machining equipment such as drill presses, mills, grinders, and related tools
• Measure, mark, and lay out materials based on drawings and specifications
• Cut, shape, and assemble metal components and structures
• Perform finishing operations including grinding, deburring, and polishing
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring instruments
• Inspect workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications
• Troubleshoot and adjust equipment to maintain quality output
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures
  

Additional Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical instructions
• Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams
• Assist with process improvements and problem-solving
• Maintain documentation and records related to production work
• Support training and knowledge sharing as needed
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2 5 years of related fabrication or machining experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Experience with fabrication tools and equipment

• Adaptability in a fast-paced production environment
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, bending, and lifting
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity required
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (noise, machinery, etc.)
  

Work Environment

• Manufacturing/shop environment
• Exposure to machinery, tools, and varying noise levels
• Must follow all safety guidelines and procedures
