Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data models to support applications, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes for structured and unstructured data.
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using AWS Glue and other AWS services.
- Manage and optimize data warehousing solutions using Amazon Redshift, RDS, and Document DB.
- Ensure data integrity, performance, and timely processing across data pipelines.
- Integrate data from multiple sources using AWS technologies.
- Monitor and optimize database performance for efficient data loads and queries.
- Implement best practices for data management, security, and cost optimization within AWS.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, UI/API teams, business analysts, and other technical teams to support business needs.
- Lead and mentor junior data engineers on AWS best practices and technical challenges.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new AWS technologies to enhance the data platform.
- Build and manage data architecture solutions including data lakehouses, data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts.
- Develop processes to ensure data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
- Prepare and organize data for modeling and analytics purposes.
- Monitor and optimize data architecture and processing systems for performance and scalability.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting related to system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to data processes and systems.
- Bachelor''''s or Master''''s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong experience with data architecture and ETL processes.
- Experience with distributed and parallel computing technologies.
- 5 years of ETL coding experience.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and automation.
- Experience with Apache Spark or similar distributed computing frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including Glue, S3, Document DB, Redshift, RDS, Athena, and AWS Lake Formation.
- Experience with Redshift, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, and other relational/NoSQL databases.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as AWS Step Functions and AWS MWAA.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, including tables, views, indexes, and table spaces.
- Experience with GitHub and CI/CD processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
