Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Analyze current processes, user needs, and experience gaps to identify opportunities to improve usability and operational efficiency
- Research the WIC program, including program barriers, user pain points, and related considerations that should shape portal design decisions
- Design end-to-end user journeys, workflows, and screen experiences for the new portal
- Create wireframes, screen layouts, and high-fidelity UI designs using Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools
- Develop design documentation that clearly captures user flows, screen behavior, interaction patterns, and usability considerations
- Provide recommendations from a usability standpoint to help ensure the portal is intuitive and easy for end clients to adopt
- Lead Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with clients and stakeholders to gather input, validate design direction, and align on requirements
- Communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders to support alignment throughout design and implementation
- Collaborate with testing teams to validate that the final solution meets user experience and business objectives
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Design, Human-Centered Design, or a related field
- Experience in UI/UX, workflow design, and user journey mapping
- Knowledge of the WIC program
- Strong communication and stakeholder facilitation skills
- Experience creating wireframes and design documentation
- Ability to work effectively with clients and technical teams
