- Seeking a skilled Biologist with strong experience in molecular biology, next-generation sequencing (NGS), and drug discovery research.
- The ideal candidate will support sequencing workflows, assay development, molecular and cell biology experiments, and data analysis activities in a collaborative laboratory environment.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemical Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong laboratory research experience in molecular biology and sequencing technologies.
- Expertise in nucleic acid extraction, purification, quantification, NGS library preparation, quality control, and qPCR.
- Strong background in NGS technologies and applications, including sequencing, quantification, and data quality control.
- Direct experience with RNA-seq and amplicon sequencing workflows.
- Hands-on experience with single-cell and single-nucleus RNA-seq library preparation.
- Familiarity with scRNA-seq and snRNA-seq platforms such as 10X Genomics Chromium, Illumina PIP-seq, ScaleBio, or Parse Biosciences.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Experience maintaining documentation in electronic notebook software.
- Experience in laboratory research within biological or biochemical sciences.
- Experience with Illumina sequencing platforms preferred.
- Experience with automation systems and liquid handling technologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRISPR-based gene editing and high-throughput screening is a plus.
- Execute NGS library preparation, quantification, and sequencing workflows to support research teams.
- Develop and implement new NGS workflows to support evolving project requirements.
- Maintain and follow standard operating procedures to ensure high-quality data generation.
- Manage sequencing workflows cross-functionally while handling multiple requests and priorities.
- Deliver sequencing data within defined timelines and communicate run completion updates to stakeholders.
- Manage inventory of DNA, RNA, libraries, and sequencing reagents.
- Perform additional laboratory tasks including RNA extraction and qPCR/ddPCR as needed.
- Maintain detailed scientific documentation and sequencing performance records in electronic notebooks.
- Support assessment of sequencing workflows across different sites and research organizations.
- Conduct experiments to identify and validate drug targets.
- Support assay design, optimization, validation, and data analysis activities.
- Design and execute molecular and cell biology experiments.
- Troubleshoot experiments and analyze complex scientific data to support drug discovery initiatives.
- Present scientific findings and conclusions through written and oral communication.
- Familiarity with CRISPR-based gene editing technologies.
- Experience with automation platforms and liquid handling systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
