About the Role:
We are hiring for one of our prime clients seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to lead distribution center operations and drive operational excellence. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end warehouse and logistics functions, optimizing processes, and developing high-performing teams to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all distribution center operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
- Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational policies
- Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and warehouse staff
- Manage workforce planning, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Analyze workflows and implement process improvements and automation initiatives
- Optimize inventory management and space utilization
- Maintain high standards of product quality and order accuracy
- Conduct safety audits, training, and incident investigations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years of experience in distribution center or warehouse operations
- 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics tools
- Proven experience in process improvement and cost optimization
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
- Experience with automated warehouse systems
- Experience managing high-volume distribution environments
- Familiarity with large-item or furniture distribution
