Role Overview
This role is responsible for leading maintenance operations during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable performance of quarry equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise maintenance mechanics during shift operations
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of quarry equipment including crushers, conveyors, and heavy machinery
- Execute preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Maintain maintenance records, inventory, and service documentation
- Coordinate repair schedules with management to support production efficiency
- Train and mentor junior maintenance staff
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and coordinate repairs
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in industrial or quarry environments
- Experience in supervising or leading maintenance teams preferred
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
