ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring for one of our clients seeking a Commercial Sales Manager, a strategic sales leader responsible for driving regional revenue growth, expanding market share, and improving profitability within the aggregates materials portfolio.
This role leads a high-performing sales team, develops and executes data-driven commercial strategies, and collaborates closely with Operations, Logistics, and Performance teams to optimize inventory, delivery, and customer outcomes.
Success in this role is measured by increased sales volumes, improved average selling price (ASP), and sustained EBITDA growth, while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
Sales Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a regional sales team (inside sales and account managers)
- Set performance targets and conduct regular pipeline reviews
- Implement accountability frameworks (KPIs, scorecards, CRM compliance)
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top commercial talent
Commercial Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with business goals
- Identify high-value customer segments and pricing opportunities
- Optimize product mix and drive margin improvement
- Leverage market intelligence and demand forecasting
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations to align production and inventory with sales commitments
- Work with Logistics to ensure efficient and timely delivery
- Collaborate with Performance & Analytics teams on KPIs and forecasting accuracy
Customer Experience & Relationship Management
- Drive a customer-first culture across the team
- Oversee key account management and contract negotiations
- Build long-term customer partnerships
- Implement feedback mechanisms to improve service and NPS
Financial & Performance Accountability
- Own regional financial inputs including revenue, gross margin, ASP, and EBITDA contribution
- Prepare and present performance reviews and forecasts
- Drive pricing discipline and margin protection
- Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Business preferred
Preferred Fields: Business, Marketing, Engineering
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
- Experience in aggregates, ready-mix, or heavy construction industry preferred
Additional Requirements
- Experience managing a $100M book of business
- Strong leadership and relationship management skills
- High business acumen with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Process-driven and results-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in systems such as SAP and Salesforce preferred
- Must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators where required
