Job Summary:
Clockwork Systems, Inc. is pioneering a software-driven approach to AI networking, delivering deterministic time and ultra-low latency for modern distributed systems. They are seeking a seasoned Tech Lead to lead a talented engineering team, architect core systems, and shape the technical direction of the company.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, driving both technical excellence and team growth.
• Design, implement, and optimize high-performance systems in C and Golang
• Work closely with the founding team to define technical roadmaps and product direction.
• Write clean, efficient, low-level code that directly interfaces with GPU-based systems.
• Foster a culture of innovation, technical rigor, and collaboration.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5 years of hands-on software development experience, with deep proficiency in C and Golang
• 3 years of experience leading and mentoring technical teams
• Strong background in low-level programming, systems engineering, or performance-critical software
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in early-stage startups or ambiguous environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred:
• Experience with GPU architecture, CUDA, OpenMPI, HPC or parallel computing
• Background in building infrastructure for AI/ML systems
• Contributions to open-source low-level or performance libraries
