Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead a team of engineers to proactively ensure platform stability and security.
• Identify, influence, and implement technology, process, and skill enhancements to modernize infrastructure and upskill the engineering team.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure clear communication, risk reduction, and accountability for team performance.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of expert-level experience in engineering and team management.
• Strong communication skills: able to set clear goals and provide status updates to management.
• Proven ability to lead teams through current and emerging technical trends, anticipating future growth and technology needs.
• Experience automating routine processes.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and motivate engineering teams toward continuous improvement.
• Experience assessing team performance and driving delivery.
• Minimum 3 years managing a team focused on Unix, both on-premises and in AWS.
• Extensive hands-on experience in Unix administration and infrastructure automation.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments (preferably within the financial industry).
Preferred:
• Additional cloud experience is a plus.
