Job Summary:
SRC, Inc. is a not-for-profit research and development company focused on solving complex problems in defense, environment, and intelligence. They are seeking a Linux System Administrator to provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems for critical enterprise applications.
Responsibilities:
• Providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems for critical enterprise applications
• Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems and provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client, server, storage, network devices, Etc
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install and load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
Qualifications:
Required:
• An active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance is required
• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience as a system administrator on programs of similar scope and complexity are required. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree 15 years of experience required
• In depth Linux experience
• Familiarity with PowerShell and Bash scripting languages
• Experience with system hardening
• Experience working with ISSOs for system compliance
• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I is required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
