Job Summary:
Liquidia Corporation is dedicated to the discovery and development of novel therapies for patients with pulmonary hypertension. The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for safeguarding enterprise information systems, monitoring security threats, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while collaborating with IT and compliance functions.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor internal and external security alerts, system logs, and indicators of compromise using tools such as SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms.
• Investigate security events and coordinate containment, eradication, and recovery procedures as part of the incident response process.
• Maintain and improve baseline security configurations across network, endpoint, and cloud environments, in alignment with corporate and regulatory standards.
• Support periodic security risk assessments, audits, and validation activities as required by regulatory frameworks (e.g., GxP, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53).
• Perform regular vulnerability scanning, coordinate with system owners to track remediation, and document resolution in accordance with policy.
• Assist with the implementation and operationalization of cybersecurity controls supporting data privacy, PHI/PII protection, and regulated data environments.
• Participate in cross-functional security initiatives involving IT, Quality Assurance, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and third-party vendors.
• Maintain documentation and evidence to support audit and compliance functions (e.g., change records, access reviews, system hardening benchmarks).
• Monitor threat intelligence feeds and assist in adapting defenses to evolving threat landscapes, with particular attention to risks relevant to pharmaceutical and manufacturing systems.
• Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and training materials related to cybersecurity awareness and response.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years of experience in a cybersecurity operation, IT security, or risk management role.
• Pharmaceutical and/or biopharmaceutical experience a plus.
• Working knowledge of security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management processes.
• Familiarity with regulatory environments and frameworks relevant to pharmaceuticals (e.g., HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, MDR, EDR, and vulnerability scanners.
• Familiarity with Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Cloud Apps, Purview, Rapid7, and Intune.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, Windows and Linux operating systems, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security , CySA , SSCP, GCIH, CISSP Associate) a plus.
• Knowledge of security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS) and practical experience in cybersecurity oversight and incident resolution.
• Experience supporting security programs in regulated or validated environments.
• Familiarity with vendor risk management and third-party security assessments.
• Proven expertise in network architecture, server environments, storage solutions, data center operations, and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with encryption technologies, firewall management, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
• Strong networking experience, including perimeter security, firewalls, routing, and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail.
• Effective written communication for documentation and evidence creation.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Sound judgment in balancing risk with operational and compliance requirements.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and solve problems independently with a “self-starter” mindset.
