Job Summary:
Artisan Partners is seeking a highly motivated Data Science Intern for their Credit investment team. The role involves supporting analytical needs, engaging in diverse projects, and applying statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze data.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate closely with the team’s COO and Data Scientist to support their analytical needs
• Participate in diverse projects, gathering data through multiple acquisition methods, such as web scraping and other techniques
• Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze data, back test and find correlations
Qualifications:
Required:
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in data science with demonstrated academic achievement
• Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, and Snowflake
• Strong technical skills and analytical problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of web scraping techniques
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate findings
• Experience with statistical and machine learning techniques
• Adept at utilizing APIs for data extraction and integration
Preferred:
• Experience in Tableau
• A solid understanding of finance, accounting, credit, and derivative instruments (financial statements, credit risk assessment, and the use of derivatives for hedging and investment purposes)
