Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
A bit about us:
Our client is a well established, full service law firm based in the Baltimore, Maryland area, with more than a hundred years of continuous operation serving individuals, businesses, and organizations throughout the region. Alongside a broad general practice spanning corporate, real estate, family, and litigation matters, the firm has a long standing tax practice that works closely with its corporate and business group to advise closely held companies, corporate entities, nonprofits, and individuals on planning, compliance, and controversy matters. The firm continues to grow its tax and transactional bench while preserving the personal, relationship driven culture that has defined it across generations of ownership.
Why join us?
This role sits at the intersection of tax and transactional work, giving an attorney exposure to sophisticated planning matters, such as entity structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and tax free exchanges, alongside advisory work for closely held businesses and their owners. Because the tax group works hand in hand with the firm's corporate, business, and estate planning attorneys, you will get regular cross practice collaboration rather than working in a silo, and direct access to senior tax and transactional lawyers who are active in the field. The firm also represents clients in front of taxing authorities on audits, appeals, and other controversy matters, so the role offers a mix of proactive planning and dispute resolution rather than one dimensional deal work. With a long tenured partner group, an established client base, and a collegial, mid sized firm culture, this is a place to build a durable tax practice with real mentorship and room to grow into client relationships over time.
