Salary: $70 - $92 per hour

Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and manufacturing to develop and implement quality assurance plans and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
2. Process corrective action requests, ensure adequacy of root cause analysis and corrective and preventative actions, follow-up to ensure implementation and effectiveness of actions.
3. Lead internal audits and participate in external audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
4. Quality Management Systems ownership and operation of internal audit, material and failure review board, corrective action, and potentially other quality assurance processes & procedures.
5. Proactive and reactive QMS process development, improvements, and corrections based on performance metrics and supplier re-evaluation process.
6. Manage nonconformances by identifying, documenting, and addressing deviations from established standards.
7. Support a team to ensure that all products are inspected and tested in accordance with quality control standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role, ideally within the space industry.
3. Proficiency with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100.
4. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is preferred.
5. Ability to provide leadership in areas of Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and handling nonconformances.
6. Proven experience conducting internal and external audits.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
9. Ability to analyze data and report on quality performance metrics.
10. Proficiency in using Quality Management Systems (QMS).
11. US Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR.
