Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and manufacturing to develop and implement quality assurance plans and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Process corrective action requests, ensure adequacy of root cause analysis and corrective and preventative actions, follow-up to ensure implementation and effectiveness of actions.
- Lead internal audits and participate in external audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Quality Management Systems ownership and operation of internal audit, material and failure review board, corrective action, and potentially other quality assurance processes & procedures.
- Proactive and reactive QMS process development, improvements, and corrections based on performance metrics and supplier re-evaluation process.
- Manage nonconformances by identifying, documenting, and addressing deviations from established standards.
- Support a team to ensure that all products are inspected and tested in accordance with quality control standards and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role, ideally within the space industry.
- Proficiency with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is preferred.
- Ability to provide leadership in areas of Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and handling nonconformances.
- Proven experience conducting internal and external audits.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to analyze data and report on quality performance metrics.
- Proficiency in using Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- or US Person as defined by ITAR.
