We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. This is a permanent position in the construction industry that offers a challenging and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and estimating commercial and industrial construction projects. They will play a critical role in the planning, execution, and finalization of projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including conception, definition, execution, and implementation.
• Perform accurate project revenue and cost financial forecasting to ensure corporate profitability goals are met.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible, and will hire third-party contractors and consultants as needed.
• Manage project budget and project resource allocation.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Estimate costs and timelines for project completion.
• Perform on-site supervision to ensure project plans are executed correctly.
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
• Project evaluations and assessment of results.
• Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Management and Estimator role within the construction industry.
• Proven experience in commercial and industrial construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience in project management and estimating.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Strong knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
• Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
• Familiarity with construction and project management software programs.
• Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
• Competent in conflict and crisis management.
• Excellent time and project management skills.
• Strong leadership and team building abilities.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field is preferred.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
• Ability to travel to different job sites within a designated geographical area.
