Are you an experienced estimator with a keen eye for detail and a passion for the construction industry? We are an established construction firm seeking a talented Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of commercial construction projects, utilizing your expertise to ensure accurate cost estimation and contribute to the successful completion of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimation, commercial construction, and project management.

Are you an experienced estimator with a keen eye for detail and a passion for the construction industry? We are an established construction firm seeking a talented Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of commercial construction projects, utilizing your expertise to ensure accurate cost estimation and contribute to the successful completion of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimation, commercial construction, and project management.
Responsibilities
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our operations. Your duties will include
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for various commercial construction projects, from preliminary to final estimates.
- Analyzing architectural drawings and specifications to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, and construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Conducting special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
- Reviewing material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
- Preparing reports and presentations to explain estimates and proposals.
- Working closely with project managers and other team members to ensure that estimates are accurate and projects are completed within budget.
- Continually monitoring industry trends and pricing to ensure the company remains competitive.
To be considered for this position, you will need
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial construction estimator.
- Proven experience in construction estimation.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in relevant estimation and project management software.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
