Our client is an established, collaborative litigation team handling sophisticated commercial disputes in New York and New Jersey courts. We're known in the market for giving associates real ownership of their matters rather than burying them in document review on someone else's case, backed by a genuine mentorship structure and reasonable, sustainable billable expectations.

You'll handle all aspects of commercial litigation — drafting pleadings and motions, preparing discovery and handling discovery disputes, taking and defending depositions, court appearances, and day-to-day case and client management — appearing before New York state and federal courts and in arbitrations, working both independently and as part of a strong litigation team.
Must-haves:
- J.D. with superior academic credentials.
- 5 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
- Active New York Bar admission (non-negotiable).
- New York State court experience — real courtroom time, not just docket management.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- New Jersey Bar admission (confirm with client whether this should move to must-have — see Gap
- Federal court and arbitration experience.
