Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing service team in the Oklahoma City area. This role is ideal for a technician who is highly skilled with large-tonnage chillers and advanced commercial HVAC systems. You’ll support a wide range of clients—including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, healthcare, and mission-critical environments—by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex HVAC and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain large commercial chillers (centrifugal, screw, scroll, and packaged systems).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot commercial HVAC equipment, including air handlers, rooftop units, pumps, cooling towers, boilers, VAV systems, and control interfaces.
• Perform preventive maintenance, system inspections, and operational testing to ensure peak system performance.
• Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely, accurate, and professional customer support.
• Document all service work performed, including parts used, system conditions, and recommended corrective actions.
• Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and internal service teams.
• Follow safety procedures and adhere to all industry codes, standards, and best practices.
• Identify opportunities for system upgrades, improvements, or replacement recommendations.

Qualifications

• 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience, including hands-on work with large chillers (required).
• Strong understanding of refrigeration theory, hydronic systems, pumps, cooling towers, variable speed drives, and control sequences.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and system schematics.
• Experience working with building automation systems (BAS/BMS) a plus.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred Experience

• Factory training or certification on major chiller brands (Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin/McQuay, etc.).
• Experience in mission-critical or industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC technologies and retrofits.
