You will prepare and manage mortgage insurance claims across multiple agencies and investor requirements, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. The position combines claims preparation, reconciliation, documentation review, research, payment tracking, and quality control activities. \n- Prepare mortgage insurance claims for properties acquired by or associated with two or more agencies or investors.
- Reconcile advances and other applicable financial information to ensure all eligible amounts are accurately included in claims.
- Validate supporting documentation and confirm that claims contain all required information before submission.
- Assist with internal departmental quality-control audits related to post-claim activities.
- Maintain accurate daily production records, reports, and other documentation required by management.
- Assist with updating appropriate workstations and internal systems to reflect claim payments and related activities.
- Follow up on filed claims and track payments through completion.
- Conduct research and gather information required to complete daily claims-related tasks.
- Investigate post-claim matters, including missing documentation, agency inquiries, and other exceptions.
- Manage assigned work queues and maintain accurate notes and updates within internal systems.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues while escalating matters when appropriate.
- Protect confidential mortgage, financial, and customer information at all times.
- Perform other related duties as required to support claims operations and departmental objectives.
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of experience in default mortgage servicing, mortgage insurance claims, mortgage operations, and/or a related legal environment.
- Working knowledge of established mortgage industry practices and the mortgage claims process.
- Proficiency in foreclosure processes and applicable guidelines, including FHD requirements.
- Experience using LPS-MSP or a comparable mortgage servicing platform.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads effectively.
- Ability to analyze issues, make sound decisions, and resolve problems independently.
- Ability to work independently while consistently meeting productivity and quality deadlines.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing financial information and supporting documentation.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with strict confidentiality and professionalism.
- A background in mortgage servicing, real estate, insurance claims, or related financial services is highly valuable.
