Duties
- Operate various types of heavy equipment including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to move materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments accurately using equipment such as order pickers,
pickers, and lift trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods. - Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to maintain optimal performance and safety standards.
- Manage inventory through warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring accurate order picking, shipping, and receiving documentation.
- Assist with warehouse distribution tasks by organizing materials for shipment or storage while adhering to OSHA safety guidelines.
- Support order picking processes with precision, utilizing mechanical knowledge and basic math skills for accurate quantity calculations.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve safety procedures, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English to effectively communicate with diverse team members.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and experience with order picking tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials handling tasks efficiently.
- Mechanical aptitude with basic repair skills for equipment maintenance.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and equipment use.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for shipping & receiving processes.
