Job Summary
The role of the Development Manager position will be working to create new programs within the company, working alongside the Operations team to open new developments. The DM will be in charge of all employees, supervisors, training, and discipline. DM will assist the NHD with intakes and coordinating ongoing meetings that are required semi-annually and annually for individuals served. DM will assist nursing with any changes or updates as needed pertaining to MARS and psychotropic medications for individuals served.
Job Roles/Responsibilities: (Essential Functions)
- Oversee on-site employee/supervisory actions, including but not limited to:
- Completion of shift documentation
- Completion of MAR documentation
- Completion of MAR reviews
- Completion of Weekly Updates, including the sending to extended support team members
- Train, support, manage and professionally develop field supervisors and employees
- Participate in staff Reviews Annually
- Coordinate staff meetings
- Ensure all staff have been added into HHA Exchange and assigned caseloads
- Assist with Supervisors budgets through receipt comparisons and collecting
- Help to ensure all new staff have completed required CDS training
- Ensure staff complete extra training as required for the individual and complete the person specific training
- Oversee correction actions and disciplinary actions as needed
- Complete MAARC reports and internal reviews

- Ensure the duties of the Designated Coordinators are fulfilled according to 245D.09, subdivision 2.
- Ensure the program implements corrective action identified as necessary by the program following review of incident and emergency reports according to 245D.11, subdivision 2, clause (7) including that an internal review has been completed for situations that require one.

Required Skills and Experience (Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge skills and abilities)
(1) a bachelor's degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
• (2) an associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
• (3) a diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited post-secondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; or(4) a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and
(5) four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses (1) to (3)
(6) a minimum of three years of supervisory level experience in a program providing direct support services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older
Additional Skills and Experience (Preferred or helpful)
Experience in 245D licensing requirements preferred (Required)
Minimum of 2 years degree or 4000 hours worked in social services or related field (Required)
Minimum of 1 year experience Supervising supervisors and staff (Required)
Knowledge of 245D paperwork (Required)
