Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Accounting Manager role based in San Diego, CA. The Accounting Manager will oversee the preparation of financial statements, perform journal entries, and manage assets tracking and reporting. Responsibilities include analyzing financial data, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and supporting the organization's financial planning. The role will also involve close collaboration with internal teams to foster accuracy in financial management.
Location: Corporate Office - San Diego, CA 92108
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Overseeing the general ledger, month-end close processes, and financial reporting.
- Operations: Managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Strategic Support: Supporting budgeting efforts, internal/external audits, and continuous process improvements.
- Compliance: Ensuring all activities align with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Required).
- Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory roles.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is preferred.
- Core Competencies: Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities.
