Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging dance curriculum tailored to various age groups and skill levels.
- Teach dance techniques in a variety of styles, ensuring students understand the fundamentals and progress in their abilities.
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that promotes confidence, teamwork, and respect among students.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively to maintain discipline while encouraging creativity.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills and performance.
- Organize and participate in recitals, performances, and other events to showcase student achievements.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in dance education and incorporate new techniques into lessons.
Experience
- Previous experience as a dance instructor or in a related teaching role is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is beneficial for understanding student needs.
- Experience with classroom management techniques to create an effective learning environment.
- Familiarity with curriculum development to design engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Background in special education or early childhood education is a plus, enhancing the ability to work with children of varying abilities.
- Skills in photography or theater can be advantageous for creating promotional materials or performance presentations.
