About Us
At Fred Astaire Dance Studio, we believe learning to dance should be fun, exciting, and something people look forward to every week. We work primarily with adults who are learning ballroom and social dancing, and our goal is to create the happiest, friendliest place in town for our students and guests.
We're looking for a friendly, organized, dependable person to join our team as a Front Desk Executive / Customer Experience Coordinator. You'll be an important part of the day-to-day operation of the studio and one of the first people our students interact with when they walk through the door.
What You'll Do
- Welcome students and guests with a warm, friendly attitude
- Answer phones and assist students with questions and requests
- Schedule and change appointments and lessons
- Communicate with instructors and help keep the studio running smoothly
- Process payments and confidently follow up on outstanding balances when needed
- Maintain accurate schedules, records, and student information
- Create flyers and promotional materials using Canva
- Assist with social media posts and studio updates
- Update and maintain the studio website using WordPress
- Help promote studio events and special activities
- Keep the front desk and studio organized and presentable
- Assist with various administrative and studio tasks as needed
- Take initiative and notice what needs to be done rather than always waiting to be asked

- Comfortable with technology – You're willing and able to learn new software and systems
- Positive and energetic – You enjoy being part of a fun, upbeat environment
Additional skills that are a plus:
- Experience with Canva
- Experience with WordPress
- Social media experience
- Previous customer service, administrative, reception, hospitality, or office experience
A Little About the Job
This isn't a typical quiet office job. Our front desk is the hub of the studio. You'll interact with students throughout the day, work closely with our instructors, help coordinate schedules, handle payments, and contribute to the overall experience our students have when they're at the studio.
If you enjoy working with people, staying busy, and being part of a positive team, you'll fit right in.
An interest in dance is a plus, but dance experience is not required. If you've ever wanted to learn ballroom dancing, you'll have the opportunity to do so here!
Schedule
- Full-time or part-time
- Monday through Friday
- Studio hours: 12:00 PM–9:00 PM
- Flexibility within our operating hours is important
