Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry work, including experience with various materials and techniques. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project specifications.
- Construct and repair structures using bricks, blocks, stones, and other materials.
- Perform concrete forming tasks for foundations, walls, and other structural elements.
- Apply stucco finishes to surfaces as required by project specifications.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure seamless project execution.
- Operate heavy equipment safely when necessary for transporting materials or assisting in construction tasks.
- Estimate material requirements and costs for projects to assist in budgeting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mason or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of construction estimating practices.
- Familiarity with drywall installation techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of working with roofs and stucco applications is advantageous.
- Experience in concrete forming processes is preferred.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods.
