Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and wood-based materials
- Operate woodworking machinery (saws, planers, sanders, routers, CNC, jointer etc.)
- Sand or finish products to specifications
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
- Follow safety procedures and shop standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, or work orders to determine project requirements.
- Measure and mark materials accurately to ensure precision and quality.
- Assemble custom wood products.
- Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity.
- Repair or modify existing wood products as needed.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Report equipment malfunctions, material defects, or safety hazards to supervision.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED
- Three years of previous woodworking, carpentry experience REQUIRED
- Experience using a jointer is REQUIRED
- Two - five years experience as a woodworker, carpenter, or cabinet maker
- Strong knowledge of woodworking tools, machines, and techniques
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements
- Good manual dexterity and physical stamina
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Vocational training or apprenticeship in woodworking or carpentry
- CNC machine experience
- Familiarity with finishing techniques and materials
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, measurements, and specifications.
- Skilled in using hand tools and woodworking machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good math and measurement skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality required.
- Experience with custom or high-end woodworking projects
- Familiarity with finishing techniques and materials
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
