Inventory Helper
Position Summary
The Inventory Helper supports inventory control and warehouse operations by assisting with receiving, organizing, counting, and moving materials. This position helps ensure inventory is accurately stored, properly labeled, and readily available to support shipping, production, and operational needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with receiving incoming shipments and verifying product quantities.
- Help organize, label, and store inventory in designated locations.
- Support cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Move materials within the warehouse using manual handling or equipment as directed.
- Assist with picking, packing, and staging inventory for orders.
- Maintain clean and organized storage and work areas.
- Follow instructions from inventory, warehouse, or supervisory staff.
- Report damaged goods, shortages, or discrepancies to management.
- Follow all company safety procedures and use required PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks when needed.
- Support general warehouse duties as assigned.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- No prior experience required; warehouse or inventory experience a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Basic communication and organizational skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the work shift.
- Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds regularly.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Ability to work in warehouse conditions with varying temperatures and noise levels.
Work Environment
- Warehouse, distribution center, or industrial environment.
- Exposure to moving equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- May require overtime, weekends, or flexible scheduling based on operational needs.
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
