Responsibilities
- Safely operate Vans and commercial vehicles with Automatic transmissions to complete daily delivery routes.
- Load, unload, and secure packages or products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques to ensure safe handling.
- Deliver items promptly to customers' locations while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and document all deliveries accurately.
- Navigate route driving efficiently using GPS or route maps, adjusting plans as needed for traffic or road conditions.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving stock, and organizing shipments for smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
Experience
- Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially with van trucks or similar commercial vehicles.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clients.
- Experience in warehouse environments involving heavy lifting, moving goods, or operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Knowledge of route planning and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Ability to lift heavy packages repeatedly and perform physical tasks safely throughout the shift.
