A non-profit organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its team in East Lansing, Michigan.
Candidates Must Have:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting and 1–2 years of hands-on transactional accounting experience or 3-4 years of full-spectrum transactional accounting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks; AMS experience a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Assist with monthly bank and investment account reconciliations and oversee payroll processing
- Monitor daily cash activity and initiate bank transfers as needed
- Reconcile financial data with the AMS and verify accurate revenue recording
- Provide data and supporting schedules for the CFO’s monthly financial statements and quarterly board reports
- Prepare data for annual 1099 filings and other year-end reporting
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
