What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager position at JMI Recruiting Services, LLC?
We are currently assisting our client, an industrial manufacturer, with a Quality Manager search in the Cleveland, OH area.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and uphold the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure that customer specifications and regulatory requirements are met consistently.
- Facilitate both internal audits and external certification audits.
- Set quality benchmarks for precision-manufactured components and assemblies.
- Create inspection strategies for incoming materials, in-process checks, and final product verification.
- Drive initiatives aimed at minimizing scrap, defects, and variations in processes.
- Utilize quality tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), control plans, and process capability analysis.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a quality management position within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong background in implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with managing or supporting ISO 9001 quality systems.
