Job Title: Senior Buyer / Procurement Specialist
Location: Chelmsford, MA (100% Onsite)
Duration: 6 Month Contract (High possibility of conversion to full-time)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer / Procurement Specialist to support raw material purchasing and supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring material availability, managing supplier relationships, and supporting production continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure raw materials to support manufacturing and production schedules
- Manage purchase orders, requisitions, and supplier communication
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) for planning and order management
- Review and act on MRP exception messages and demand changes
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve supply issues
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors
- Maintain accurate procurement data and system updates
Requirements
- 5–7 years of procurement experience in manufacturing or supply chain
- Strong experience purchasing raw/direct materials
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)
- Experience with purchase orders, requisitions, and inventory planning
- Medical device industry experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in GMP / FDA-regulated environments
- Strong Excel and data management skills
Compensation (MA Pay Transparency):
$45–$48/hr (W-2 only)
- Final rate will be based on experience and interview performance
