About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Linux & Windows Systems Administrator to support enterprise infrastructure operations in a highly regulated environment. This role will be responsible for Linux and Windows administration, automation, virtualization, patch management, Active Directory support, system maintenance, and infrastructure reliability.
The ideal candidate will possess deep Linux administration expertise along with strong Windows, VMware, and automation experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Linux Systems Administration
- Administer enterprise Linux environments
- Support physical and virtual Linux infrastructure
- Manage Linux operating systems across multiple versions and platforms
- Implement Linux patch management strategies using Ansible
- Perform system maintenance and troubleshooting
- Windows & Infrastructure Support
- Administer Windows Server environments
- Manage Active Directory infrastructure
- Support VMware environments
- Maintain server performance, reliability, and availability
- Resolve Tier II and Tier III infrastructure issues
- Security & Compliance
- Conduct security scans and remediation activities
- Deploy operating system security patches
- Support vulnerability management efforts
- Maintain system compliance and security standards
- Operations & Maintenance
Perform:
- Daily maintenance
- Weekly maintenance
- Monthly maintenance
- Monitor infrastructure health and performance
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
- Infrastructure Planning
- Support long-term infrastructure planning
- Recommend system improvements and enhancements
- Assist with enterprise infrastructure modernization efforts
- Support hardware and software lifecycle management
Qualifications
- Required Experience
- 8 years of Systems Administration experience
- Strong Linux Administration experience
- Windows Server Administration experience
- VMware Administration experience
- Active Directory Administration experience
- Enterprise infrastructure support experience
- Experience supporting production environments

Compensation
- $75–85/hr W2
- Duration: 6 Months Potential Contract-to-Hire
