What this job involves: As an Electrician at JLL, you will focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment across all systems while working under the direction of the Chief Engineer. This specialized role requires comprehensive electrical expertise combined with knowledge of mechanical systems to ensure optimal facility performance and safety. You'll be responsible for analyzing system operations, determining causes of malfunctions, and implementing corrective actions while maintaining compliance with safety protocols and departmental policies that reflect JLL's commitment to operational excellence and workplace safety.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Assist with maintenance, monitoring, and preventive maintenance on electrical, refrigeration, heat exchanger, HVAC, emergency backup, and hot water systems
- Analyze operation of various systems, determine causes of problems/malfunctions, and implement corrective action as required
- Install and repair plumbing/piping/tubing while wiring single and three-phase motors (single and two speed)
- Run conduit and pull wiring to machinery, motors, and operating parts throughout facility systems
- Install and rebuild pumps, motors, air compressors, and heat exchangers while replacing bearings in all motor types
- Replace seals on pumps and install/repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems, and associated controls
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical controls, switching, and motor control systems
- Monitor operation, repair, and maintain refrigeration, water cooling, air conditioning equipment, boilers, and ventilation systems
- State Electrical License required
- High School diploma or GED
- Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC
- Flexibility and willingness to work varying shifts as operational needs require
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
- Valid Driver's License for transportation to various facility locations
- Ability to comply with departmental policy for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
- Commitment to maintaining clean and safe workplace standards
- Experience with facility equipment maintenance and troubleshooting across multiple systems
- Knowledge of emergency backup systems and hot water system operations
- Experience assisting with major repairs and maintenance of building equipment
- Understanding of proper equipment operation recording and reporting procedures
- Background in commercial or industrial electrical system maintenance
