Job Summary
Ensure proper operation of all facility aspects through comprehensive maintenance program management. This part-time, on-call position oversees operations and maintenance of buildings, systems, and equipment while supervising trades personnel, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining high safety and service standards. The role requires immediate response capability for emergency situations and strong leadership in a diverse facility environment.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations Management
- Establish, operate, and maintain comprehensive facility management programs
- Manage building systems including HVAC/R, electrical substations, emergency power systems, and building automation
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs and non-scheduled repairs
- Monitor equipment uptime and provide emergency repair services
- Manage natural gas, water, sewer, and utility piping systems
- Ensure 100% employee safety training compliance
- Perform timely safety incident reporting and monitoring
- Maintain fire life safety systems and evacuation plans
- Ensure compliance with local legislative requirements and JLL/client policies
- Oversee environmental health, safety, and compliance initiatives
- Manage chemical oversight and medical waste disposal
- Supervise maintenance trades, mobile equipment trades, and housekeeping staff
- Manage UAW employees and coordinate PTO/vacation scheduling
- Direct, supervise, and oversee subcontracted services
- Develop strong working relationships with vendors to ensure quality service delivery
- Support crisis management planning and emergency response coordination
- Serve as secondary contact for user service requests within agreed timeframes
- Promote high satisfaction among client users through prompt service response
- Act as go-to person for all facility management activities
- Support client security teams and building management systems
- Address minor technical repairs as first point of contact
- Retain all maintenance and repair documentation
- Provide and maintain spare parts inventories
- Support BPD and WSS activities at site
- Manage commodity resources and waste removal programs
- Monitor office housekeeping and cleanliness standards
Availability & Responsiveness
- Available to respond to on-call emergency situations
- Flexible schedule to support facility operations as needed
- Understanding of critical building systems including UPS, generators, fire alarms, and security systems
- Knowledge of HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Experience with building automation and monitoring systems
- Ability to perform technical repairs and troubleshooting
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
- Ability to communicate transparently and tailor messages to specific audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills for client and vendor relationship management
- Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- SharePoint experience
- Effective time management and organizational skills

- Experience managing union employees (UAW)

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
