The Role:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our organization as part of our Consumer & Market Insights team. This individual should have 2-5 years' experience in an insights and analytics role. Candidate should have knowledge of POS systems, Circana or Nielsen databases, Microsoft tools and be analytically driven and a self-starter.
What you’ll do, with the assistance of an Insights Manager:
- Generate weekly reports to analyze sales performance and deliver actionable insights
- Provide marketplace observations & insights
- Collaborate with clients to develop an understanding of their strategic direction
- Compile and present clear monthly business summaries to support decision making
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners at JL Buchanan to strengthen recommendations for our clients.
- Interest in developing a core competency in digital analytics, social listening or review seeding.
- Desire to expand analytical skills relative to qualitative or quantitative primary consumer research.
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and story-telling skills
- 3 years of relevant CPG/Retail/Digital Management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Mathematics, Data Science (or related field)
- Skilled in Circana or Nielsen Market Data
- Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Solid understanding of Retailer POS databases
- A passion for retail and a love of Target
- Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail, organizational skills and commitment to accuracy
- An entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter mentality with curiosity and enthusiasm for continuous learning and development
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously while working in a fast-paced environment to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interface with multiple levels of an organization and collaborate with cross-functional team members
- Positive attitude, creative resourcefulness and a team-player that thrives working in a team environment to achieve a common goal.
