What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Executive - Sports Tech (NYC) position at JLB?
🚀 Account Executives – Sports Tech (NYC)
I’m building a high-quality network of Enterprise AEs for one of the fastest-growing companies in sports tech and others like them.
If you’ve ever wanted to sell into the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, or top-tier global sports organisations, this is the kind of role that puts you right in the middle of it.
💼 The opportunity
You’ll be working for an AI-powered ticketing platform that helps sports teams, leagues, and broadcasters.
Think:
- Enterprise deals with iconic sports brands
- 3-6 month sales cycles
- $100k–$200k ARR deal sizes
- Multi-threaded, relationship-led sales
👉 This is true enterprise selling — no hand-holding, no BDR pipeline.
🧠 What you’ll be doing
- Own the full sales cycle (0 → close)
- Build and execute account plans across key sports organisations
- Develop relationships from ops teams → C-suite
- Generate your own pipeline (events, network, outbound)
- Run consultative, multi-stakeholder sales processes
- Partner with product & CS to drive long-term account growth
🎯 What I’m looking for
- 3 years of full-cycle B2B SaaS sales
- Experience closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals
- Comfortable selling without a big support structure
- Strong presence with senior stakeholders
- Someone who can work a room at events and build real relationships
💡 Bonus:
- Sports / media / technology experience
- Early-stage or “founding AE” background
🔥 Why these roles are interesting
- Work with the biggest brands in global sport
- High-growth, well-funded companies (2x YoY type growth)
- Real ownership autonomy
- Relationship-driven sales environment (not just volume outreach)
- Genuinely exciting space — sports, media, AI
💰 Typical comp (NYC)
- Base: $130k–$140k
- OTE: $180k (uncapped)
Salary : $100,000 - $200,000
