Application Architect – Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Application Architect – Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) to act as a technical thought leader in designing and implementing strategic middleware solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with enterprise integration platforms and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, high-performance technical architectures.
Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture and design of enterprise middleware and integration solutions
Define and enforce middleware standards, best practices, and design patterns
Translate business and functional requirements into technical EAI solutions
Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders
Support both tactical and strategic middleware initiatives across the enterprise
Architect and design production and non-production integration environments
Oversee installation, configuration, upgrades, testing, and debugging of middleware platforms
Identify and promote emerging technologies and industry trends such as Automation, DevOps, Cloud, Blockchain, and IoT
Technical Skills & Experience:
Strong experience with EAI and middleware architecture
Hands-on expertise with one or more of the following platforms:
Integration Bus (IIB)
Software AG
WebSphere DataPower
Sterling Integrator (SI)
Tibco
MuleSoft
Experience supporting middleware on Linux and Windows environments
Strong understanding of system integration, messaging, APIs, and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
Experience working in large, complex enterprise application landscapes
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to Cloud-based integration and hybrid architectures
Experience with CI/CD, DevOps pipelines, and automation tools
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
