What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Support & Microsoft 365 Specialist position at JJS Group?
About the Role We are a Managed Service Provider (MSP) seeking a highly proactive, mission-driven IT professional to be our "boots on the ground" for a major, high-profile construction client in Westmont, IL.
This is not a traditional "reset passwords and wait for tickets" help desk role. We need a Level 2 thinker and problem-solver who can take true ownership of the on-site environment. You will be the resident expert for Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and device management, while also assisting with high-level infrastructure projects. If you have an MSP background, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and love adopting modern tech (like AI tools), this is the role for you.
What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities):
- M365 & SharePoint Administration: Act as the primary administrator for the Microsoft 365 environment. Build, configure, and manage complex SharePoint sites and permissions.
- Device Management: Provision, deploy, and manage company hardware (laptops, mobile devices) leveraging Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
- Level 2 On-Site Support: Serve as the primary, face-to-face escalation point for on-site staff. Troubleshoot network, hardware, and software issues efficiently.
- Project Implementation: Collaborate with off-site MSP leadership to assist with major infrastructure rollouts, including ERP system integrations and data reporting initiatives.
- Process Optimization: Champion the use of modern tools (including ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot) to automate tasks, streamline administrative workflows, and improve IT efficiency.
What You Bring to the Table (Requirements):
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven IT experience in a Help Desk Level II, Junior SysAdmin, or similar role.
- The Tech Stack: Deep, hands-on experience navigating the backend of the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, configuring SharePoint, and deploying devices via Intune/Autopilot.
- Proactive Mindset: You don't get "lost in the sauce." You are a highly communicative problem solver who isn't afraid to pick up the phone, escalate when necessary, and take initiative.
- Customer Service: Polished, professional, and comfortable interacting directly with executives and staff in a corporate office setting.
Stand-Out Qualifications (We'd love it if you have these):
- Prior MSP Experience: You understand the pacing, ticketing systems, and toolsets (RMM, Huntress, SentinelOne, etc.) used in Managed Services.
- Military Background: Veterans or individuals with military experience are highly encouraged to apply!
- Cloud Exposure: Familiarity navigating and managing resources within Azure/Entra ID.
Why Join Us?
- Massive Growth Potential: This is a "Phase 1" contract role serving as a test-case for a major Private Equity firm. Successful delivery and performance will lead to a permanent offer and the potential to replicate this IT model across 15 other companies.
- High Autonomy: You will have top-tier support and mentorship from our MSP leadership, but the freedom to own your domain on-site.
- Forward-Thinking Culture: We value adaptability, optimism, and speed over "the way it’s always been done."
Salary : $25 - $40
